11.180 Kentucky Appalachian Commission. (1) There is hereby established the Kentucky Appalachian Commission for the purpose of developing a comprehensive plan for the Appalachian region of Kentucky in the context of development planning for the Commonwealth as a whole. Its goal shall be the unification of resources from both the public and private sectors to achieve sustainable economic development and an improved quality of life in the region. (2) The commission shall be attached to the Department for Local Government for administrative purposes. Effective: June 20, 2005 History: Amended 2005 Ky.
