321.66 - DUTY TO HOLD VEHICLES.

        321.66  DUTY TO HOLD VEHICLES.
         The proprietor of a garage and the proprietor's employees upon
      discovering that the engine number of a motor vehicle has been
      altered or obliterated shall immediately notify some member of the
      department or peace officer of the county in which the garage is
      located, and hold said vehicle for a period of twenty-four hours or
      until investigation shall have been made by such peace officer.
