CHAPTER 63A - ADMINISTRATION OF OATHS
63A.2 - LIMITED AUTHORITY.

        63A.2  LIMITED AUTHORITY.
         The following officers and persons are empowered to administer
      oaths and to take affirmations in any matter pertaining to the
      business of their respective office, position, or appointment:
         1.  Governor, secretary of state, secretary of agriculture,
      auditor of state, treasurer of state, attorney general.
         2.  Members of all boards, commissions, or bodies created by law.

         3.  All county officers other than those named in section 63A.1.
         4.  Mayors and clerks of cities, precinct election officials,
      township clerks, assessors, and surveyors.
         5.  All duly appointed referees or appraisers.
         6.  All investigators for supplementary assistance as provided for
      under chapter 249.
         7.  The director and employees of the department of revenue, as
      authorized by the director, and as set forth in chapters 421 and 422.
