CHAPTER 44 - NOMINATIONS BY NONPARTY POLITICAL ORGANIZATIONS
44.8 - HEARING BEFORE MAYOR.

        44.8  HEARING BEFORE MAYOR.
         Objections filed with the city clerk shall be considered by the
      mayor and clerk and one member of the council chosen by the council
      by ballot, and a majority decision shall be final; but if the
      objection is to the certificate of nomination of either of those city
      officials, that official shall not pass upon said objection, but the
      official's place shall be filled by a member of the council against
      whom no such objection exists, chosen as above provided.
         The hearing shall be held within twenty-four hours of the receipt
      of the objection if a primary election must be held for the office
      sought by the candidate against whom the objection has been filed.
