CHAPTER 10. OSTEOPATHIC RESIDENCY TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION

If: (1) a hospital; (2) a health maintenance organization issued a certificate of authority under IC 27-13; (3) a preferred provider organization licensed under IC 27-8-11; (4) a health insurance company; or (5) any other similarly licensed entity; requires a physician to be residency trained, board certified, or eligible for certification in a medical specialty, it shall include residency training or certification approved by a national association founded in 1897 that accredits residency training programs and certifying boards for osteopathic physicians as criteria that satisfy the requirement. As added by P.L.182-1997, SEC.1.
