Download as PDF IC 16-23-4 Chapter 4. Tax Levies for Hospitals in Third Class Cities IC 16-23-4-1 Application Sec. 1. This section applies to a third class city that owns or controls a hospital. As added by P.L.2-1993, SEC.6. IC 16-23-4-2 Special maintenance tax Sec. 2. The city fiscal body may levy a special tax for the maintenance of the hospital of not less than sixty-seven hundredths of one cent ($0.0067) and not more than one and sixty-seven hundredths cents ($0.0167) on each one hundred dollars ($100) of taxable property, to be levied and collected the same as other city taxes are levied and collected. As added by P.L.2-1993, SEC.6. Amended by P.L.6-1997, SEC.172. IC 16-23-4-3 Hospital fund Sec. 3. The amount collected under section 2 of this chapter constitutes a separate fund for the maintenance of the hospital, known as the hospital fund. The fund is under the management and control of the city fiscal body. As added by P.L.2-1993, SEC.6.
