Chapter 2. Recorded Patents Conveying Real Estate

Recorded patents
Sec. 1. All:
(1) patents issued by the United States or by the state of Indiana
conveying real estate in Indiana; and
(2) the records of those patents that have been duly recorded;
shall be taken and received as competent evidence in all courts in
Indiana.

Patents not previously recorded
Sec. 2. All patents described in section 1 of this chapter that have
not been recorded may be recorded as other deeds and conveyances
are recorded by law. That record shall be competent evidence in all
Indiana courts.
