SCHOOL BONDS

33-1116. Refunding bonds. The board of trustees of any school district may, without submitting the question to a vote of the electors of the district, issue negotiable coupon bonds in the form prescribed in section 33-1107, for the purpose of refunding any outstanding bonded indebtedness of the district when the same can be done with profit and advantage to the district, and without creating any additional indebtedness or liability. The proceeds of bonds so issued shall be applied solely to the refunding of outstanding bonded indebtedness of the district; and such bonds shall be sold and the proceeds thereof deposited in the same manner as for any other bonds of the school district.
