2006 Georgia Code - 42-9-57

42-9-57. Nothing contained in this chapter shall be construed as repealing any power given to any court of this state to place offenders on probation or to supervise the same nor any power of any probation agency set up in any county of the state in conjunction with the courts. The board shall be authorized to cooperate with any such agencies, except that it shall not assume or pay any financial obligations thereof. The board shall also be authorized to cooperate with the courts for the probation of offenders in those counties in which there is no existing probation agency, when a court so requests.
