Chapter 655 FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS GENERALLY  
655.012   General supervisory powers of the department; rulemaking.

655.012  General supervisory powers of the department; rulemaking.--In addition to other powers conferred by the financial institutions codes, the department shall have:

(1)  General supervision over all state financial institutions, their subsidiaries, and service corporations.

(2)  Access to all books and records of all persons over whom the department exercises general supervision as is necessary for the performance of the duties and functions of the department prescribed by the financial institutions codes.

(3)  Power to issue orders and declaratory statements, disseminate information, and otherwise exercise its discretion to effectuate the purposes, policies, and provisions of the financial institutions codes and to adopt rules pursuant to ss. 120.536(1) and 120.54 to implement the provisions of such codes.
