FOOD AND AGRICULTURAL CODE
SECTION 56831-56832

56831.  It is the purpose of this chapter to promote the orderly
marketing of farm products and the establishment of reasonable
charges for unloading such products at markets in this state. It is
declared that in some of the markets of this state the charges for
unloading farm products have been found to be exorbitant and
unreasonable and that this chapter is enacted to remedy such evils
and in the interests of the public welfare.

56832.  The director may make such regulations as he may deem
necessary to carry out this chapter and to effectuate its purposes.
