2007 California Public Resources Code Article 6. Historical Resource Management Projects

PUBLIC RESOURCES CODE
SECTION 5079.50-5079.52



5079.50.  The office shall award grants to public agencies and
nonprofit organizations to improve the management of California's
historical resources that, because of natural events or human
activities, have suffered impairment or loss of historic integrity.
Grants made pursuant to this section shall not be available to
acquire public facilities, except to the extent the acquisition is
incidental to the historical resource management project.



5079.51.  After the approval of a proposed historical resource
management project, the office may expend funds to prepare a plan for
the protection and enhancement of the historical resource.



5079.52.  The office shall consult as needed with the appropriate
city or county in order to assess the historical significance of
historical resources in connection with an historical resource
management project proposed pursuant to this article by a nonprofit
organization.
