STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE
SECTION 835

835.  Every owner or operator of a highway bridge which is open to
use by the public, other than one owned or operated by any state or
federal agency, city, or county, shall, on or before January 1, 1991,
notify the city or county, or both, in which the bridge is located,
of the existence of the bridge and its location, date of
construction, and length and width in feet.
