11550. Effective January 1, 1988, an annual salary of ninety-one thousand fifty-four dollars ($91,054) shall be paid to each of the following: (a) Director of Finance. (b) Secretary of Business, Transportation and Housing. (c) Secretary of Resources. (d) Secretary of Health and Human Services. (e) Secretary of State and Consumer Services. (f) Commissioner of the California Highway Patrol. (g) Secretary of the Youth and Adult Correctional Agency. (h) Secretary of Food and Agriculture. (i) Secretary of Technology, Trade, and Commerce. (j) Secretary of Veterans Affairs. (k) Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development. The annual compensation provided by this section shall be increased in any fiscal year in which a general salary increase is provided for state employees. The amount of the increase provided by this section shall be comparable to, but shall not exceed, the percentage of the general salary increases provided for state employees during that fiscal year. 11551. Effective January 5, 1987, an annual salary of eighty-five thousand dollars ($85,000) shall be paid to the Governor. Upon the commencement of each new term, the annual compensation provided by this section shall be increased based on the cost-of-living increases provided for state employees over the previous four years. The amount of the increase provided by this section shall be determined by multiplying the then current compensation by the combination of percentages of the general cost-of-living increases provided for state employees for the four previous fiscal years. 11551.5. Effective January 5, 1987, an annual salary of seventy-seven thousand five hundred dollars ($77,500) shall be paid to the Attorney General. Upon the commencement of each new term, the annual compensation provided by this section shall be increased based on the cost-of-living increases provided for state employees over the previous four years. The amount of the increase provided by this section shall be determined by multiplying the then current compensation by the combination of percentages of the general cost-of-living increases provided for state employees for the four previous fiscal years. 11552. Effective January 1, 1988, an annual salary of eighty-five thousand four hundred two dollars ($85,402) shall be paid to each of the following: (a) Commissioner of Financial Institutions. (b) Commissioner of Corporations. (c) Insurance Commissioner. (d) Director of Transportation. (e) Real Estate Commissioner. (f) Director of Social Services. (g) Director of Water Resources. (h) Chief Deputy Secretary for Adult Operations of the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. (i) Director of General Services. (j) Director of Motor Vehicles. (k) Chief Deputy Secretary for Juvenile Justice in the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. (l) Executive Officer of the Franchise Tax Board. (m) Director of Employment Development. (n) Director of Alcoholic Beverage Control. (o) Director of Housing and Community Development. (p) Director of Alcohol and Drug Abuse. (q) Director of the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development. (r) Director of the Department of Personnel Administration. (s) Chairperson and Member of the Board of Equalization. (t) Secretary of Technology, Trade, and Commerce. (u) State Director of Health Services. (v) Director of Mental Health. (w) Director of Developmental Services. (x) State Public Defender. (y) Director of the California State Lottery. (z) Director of Fish and Game. (aa) Director of Parks and Recreation. (ab) Director of Rehabilitation. (ac) Director of Veterans Affairs. (ad) Director of Consumer Affairs. (ae) Director of Forestry and Fire Protection. (af) The Inspector General pursuant to Section 6125 of the Penal Code. (ag) Director of Child Support Services. (ah) Director of Industrial Relations. (ai) Chief Deputy Secretary for Adult Programs in the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. The annual compensation provided by this section shall be increased in any fiscal year in which a general salary increase is provided for state employees. The amount of the increase provided by this section shall be comparable to, but shall not exceed, the percentage of the general salary increases provided for state employees during that fiscal year. 11552.5. Effective January 5, 1987, an annual salary of seventy-two thousand five hundred dollars ($72,500) shall be paid to each of the following: (a) Lieutenant Governor. (b) Secretary of State. (c) Controller. (d) Treasurer. (e) Superintendent of Public Instruction. Upon the commencement of each new term, the annual compensation provided by this section shall be increased based on the cost-of-living increases provided for state employees over the previous four years. The amount of the increase provided by this section, shall be determined by multiplying the then current compensation by the combination of percentages of the general cost-of-living increases provided for state employees for the four previous fiscal years. 11553. Effective January 1, 1988, an annual salary of eighty-one thousand six hundred thirty-five dollars ($81,635) shall be paid to each of the following: (a) Chairperson of the Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board. (b) Chairperson of the Agricultural Labor Relations Board. (c) President of the Public Utilities Commission. (d) Chairperson of the Fair Political Practices Commission. (e) Chairperson of the Energy Resources Conservation and Development Commission. (f) Chairperson of the Public Employment Relations Board. (g) Chairperson of the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board. (h) Administrative Director of the Division of Industrial Accidents. (i) Chairperson of the State Water Resources Control Board. (j) Chairperson and each member of the California Integrated Waste Management Board. The annual compensation provided by this section shall be increased in any fiscal year in which a general salary increase is provided for state employees. The amount of the increase provided by this section shall be comparable to, but shall not exceed, the percentage of the general salary increases provided for state employees during that fiscal year. 11553.5. Effective January 1, 1988, an annual salary of seventy-nine thousand one hundred twenty-two dollars ($79,122) shall be paid to the following: (a) Member of the Agricultural Labor Relations Board. (b) Member of the State Energy Resources Conservation and Development Commission. (c) Member of the Public Utilities Commission. (d) Member of the Public Employment Relations Board. (e) Member of the Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board. (f) Member of the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board. (g) Member of the State Water Resources Control Board. The annual compensation provided by this section shall be increased in any fiscal year in which a general salary increase is provided for state employees. The amount of the increase provided by this section shall be comparable to, but shall not exceed, the percentage of the general cost-of-living salary increases provided for state employees during that fiscal year. 11554. Effective January 1, 1988, an annual salary of seventy-five thousand three hundred fifty-four dollars ($75,354) shall be paid to each of the following: (a) Director of Conservation. (b) Director of the Department of Economic Opportunity. (c) State Architect. (d) Director of Fair Employment and Housing. (e) Director of the Office of Emergency Services. (f) Director of the Department of Aging. (g) State Fire Marshal. (h) Director of Trade and Commerce. The annual compensation provided by this section shall be increased in any fiscal year in which a general salary increase is provided for state employees. The amount of the increase provided by this section shall be comparable to, but shall not exceed, the percentage of the general salary increases provided for state employees during that fiscal year. 11555. Effective January 1, 1988, an annual salary of seventy-one thousand five hundred eighty-seven dollars ($71,587) shall be paid to the following: (a) Chairperson of the Board of Prison Terms. (b) Chairperson of the Youthful Offender Parole Board. (c) Chairperson of the Occupational Safety and Health Appeals Board. The annual compensation provided by this section shall be increased in any fiscal year in which a general salary increase is provided for state employees. The amount of the increase provided by this section shall be comparable to, but shall not exceed, the percentage of the general salary increases provided for state employees during that fiscal year. 11556. Effective January 1, 1988, an annual salary of sixty-nine thousand seventy-six dollars ($69,076) shall be paid to each of the following: (a) Member of the Board of Prison Terms. (b) Member of the Youthful Offender Parole Board. (c) Member of the Occupational Safety and Health Appeals Board. (d) Director of Boating and Waterways. The annual compensation provided by this section shall be increased in any fiscal year in which a general salary increase is provided for state employees. The amount of the increase provided by this section shall be comparable to, but shall not exceed, the percentage of the general salary increases provided for state employees during that fiscal year. 11561. An annual salary of twenty-five thousand five hundred dollars ($25,500) shall be paid to each member of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Appeals Board. 11563.7. Effective January 1, 1988, an annual salary of twenty-five thousand one hundred eighteen dollars ($25,118) shall be paid to each member of the State Personnel Board. The annual compensation provided by this section shall be increased in any fiscal year in which a general salary increase is provided for state employees. The amount of the increase provided by this section shall be comparable to, but shall not exceed, the percentage of the general salary increases provided for state employees during that fiscal year. 11564. Effective January 1, 1988, an annual salary of twenty-five thousand one hundred eighteen dollars ($25,118) shall be paid to each member of the State Air Resources Board, provided each member devotes a minimum of 60 hours per month to state board work. The salary shall be reduced proportionately if less than 60 hours per month is devoted to state board work. The annual compensation provided by this section shall be increased in any fiscal year in which a general salary increase is provided for state employees. The amount of the increase provided by this section shall be comparable to, but shall not exceed, the percentage of the general salary increases provided for state employees during that fiscal year. 11564.5. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, whenever a member of a board, commission, committee, or similarly constituted body created by executive order or statute, is authorized to receive a per diem salary or allowance in excess of expenses incurred by the member, that rate shall be established at one hundred dollars ($100) per day unless a higher rate is provided by statute. This section shall not apply to those boards or commissions provided an annual salary in this chapter, nor to the board specified in Section 1150 of the Harbors and Navigation Code.
