2005 Arizona Revised Statutes - Revised Statutes §36-842.01  Anatomical gift registry; purpose; immunity

A. To expedite a match between identified anatomical gift donors and potential recipients, an organ procurement organization shall establish an anatomical gift registry that contains information regarding persons who have executed a document of gift.

B. An organ procurement organization shall make information in the registry regarding potential donors available to organ procurement agencies on a twenty-four hour basis, seven days a week.

C. An organ procurement organization may receive voluntary contributions to support the registry and its activities.

D. An organ procurement organization is not subject to civil liability as a consequence of good faith acts or omissions related to the gathering and release of information relating to the anatomical gift registry. All acts and omissions are presumed to be in good faith unless the acts or omissions are done with gross or ordinary negligence or intent to maliciously cause injury.
