2005 Arizona Revised Statutes - Revised Statutes §31-283  Transition offices; location; duties

A. The department shall locate at least two transition offices for an entity that contracts with the department pursuant to section 31-281. The offices shall be located in any two facilities under the jurisdiction of the department. The entity that is awarded a contract pursuant to section 31-281 shall also maintain at least two transition offices that:

1. Are not located in a facility under the jurisdiction of the department.

2. Are located in at least two different cities.

B. The transition offices shall provide liaison services to the state department of corrections, the department of health services, the governor's office, county probation departments and community and faith-based organizations and may be staffed with personnel from these agencies and organizations.

C. The transition office may accept grants to implement this section.
