IN RE Tony L. BRASFIELD
Original Mandamus Proceeding (1)

PETITION FOR WRIT OF MANDAMUS DENIED

In a pro se petition for a writ of mandamus, relator Tony L. Brasfield seeks to compel the trial court to rule on his motion for bond pending appeal. Brasfield is represented on appeal by Angela J. Moore with the Bexar County Public Defender's Office. We conclude that appointed counsel is also Brasfield's attorney on the issue presented in his petition. See Patrick v. State, 906 S.W.2d 481, 498 (Tex. Crim. App. 1995) (appellant in a criminal matter has no right to hybrid representation). Accordingly, Brasfield's pro se petition presents nothing for review. The petition is denied. Tex. R. App. P. 52.8(a).

PER CURIAM

1. This proceeding arises out of Cause No. 2003-CR-1377-B, styled State of Texas v. Tony Lynn Brasfield, filed in the 175th District Court, Bexar County, Texas, the Honorable Mary Roman presiding.
