Petition for Writ of Mandamus Denied and Memorandum Opinion filed March 23, 2017. In The Fourteenth Court of Appeals NO. 14-17-00200-CV IN RE D. PATRICK SMITHERMAN, Relator ORIGINAL PROCEEDING WRIT OF MANDAMUS County Civil Court at Law No. 2 Harris County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. 1087682 MEMORANDUM OPINION Relator D. Patrick Smitherman filed a petition for writ of mandamus in this court. See Tex. Gov’t Code Ann. § 22.221 (West 2004); see also Tex. R. App. P. 52. In the petition, relator asks this court to compel the respondent, the Honorable Theresa Chang, presiding judge of the County Civil Court at Law No. 2 of Harris County, to (1) set for hearing the relator’s Emergency Motion to Reduce Bond and to rule on the same, (2) take evidence of the value of rents of the property in connection with respondent’s consideration of the Emergency Motion to Reduce Bond, (3) reduce the bond, (4) provide relator ten additional days following entry of an order on the Emergency Motion to Reduce Bond in which to post bond, and (5) allow relator to post any such reduced bond in monthly increments. Relator has not established that he is entitled to mandamus relief. Accordingly, we deny relator’s petition for writ of mandamus. PER CURIAM Panel consists of Chief Justice Frost and Justices Jamison and Donovan. 2
