STATE OF MICHIGAN COURT OF APPEALS SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, UNPUBLISHED February 8, 2000 Plaintiff-Appellee/Cross-Appellant and DAN ELLIS and JENNIFER GINGLES, Plaintiffs, v No. 211224 Kalkaska Circuit Court LC No. 96-005782-CH PHILIP SORENSEN and JACQUELINE SORENSEN, Defendants-Appellants/CrossAppellees. Before: Markey, P. J., and Murphy and R. B. Burns* MEMORANDUM. Defendants appeal as of right, and plaintiff cross-appeals, from a judgment quieting title to a small strip of land abutting Fife Lake over which defendants and plaintiff both claim sole ownership. The trial court ruled that plaintiff township had acquired the northern half of the disputed strip through adverse possession, but that the southern half of the strip remained defendants’ property. We affirm and explicitly adopt the trial court’s well-reasoned opinion as our own.
