__________________________________________
In the Matter of PATRICK HENRY LEWIS,
XAVIER AARON JOLLY, BOBBY LEON LEWIS
and JULIA MAE JOLLY, Minors.
FAMILY INDEPENDENCE AGENCY,
UNPUBLISHED
September 22, 1998
Petitioner-Appellee,
v
No. 206308;206683
Wayne Juvenile Court
LC No. 89-279896
PATRICIA ANN LEWIS and BOBBY LEON
JOLLY,
Respondents-Appellants.
Before: Hood, P.J., and Griffin and O’Connell, JJ.
PER CURIAM.
In Docket No. 206308, respondent Lewis appeals as of right from the juvenile court order
terminating her parental rights to the minor children under MCL 712A.19b(3)(c)(i), (g) and (i); MSA
27.3178(598.19b)(3)(c)(i), (g) and (i). In Docket No. 206683, respondent Jolly appeals as of right
from the juvenile court order terminating his parental rights to the minor children under MCL
712A.19b(3)(c)(i) and (g); MSA 27.3178(598.19b)(3)(c)(i) and (g). We affirm. This case is being
decided without oral argument pursuant to MCR 7.214(E).
In Docket No. 206308, respondent Lewis challenges the termination of her parental rights
under § 19b(3)(g) only. Because only one statutory ground is necessary to terminate parental rights and
because respondent does not challenge the termination of her parental rights under §§ 19b(3)(c)(i) and
(i), respondent is not entitled to appellate relief. Roberts & Son Contracting, Inc v North Oakland
Development Corp, 163 Mich App 109, 113; 413 NW2d 744 (1987).
-1
In Docket No. 206683, the juvenile court did not clearly err in finding that the statutory grounds
for termination were established by clear and convincing evidence. MCR 5.974; In re Miller, 433
Mich 331, 337; 445 NW2d 161 (1989). Further, respondent Jolly failed to show that

termination of his parental rights was clearly not in the children’s best interests. MCL 712A.19b(5);
MSA 27.3178(598.19b)(5); In re Hall-Smith, 222 Mich App 470, 472-473; 564 NW2d 156
(1997). Thus, the juvenile court did not err in terminating respondent Jolly’s parental rights to the
children. Id.
