ADLER, (Doc. 17) 13 Respondent. ______________________________/ 14 Petitioner is a prisoner proceeding pro se with a petition for writ of habeas corpus 15 pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2241. 16 On September 29, 2011, judgment was entered dismissing the petition for writ of 17 habeas corpus. On October 31, 2011, Petitioner filed a notice of appeal, a motion for 18 certificate of appealability and an application to proceed in forma pauperis. Examination 19 of petitioner’s application to proceed in forma pauperis reveals that petitioner is unable to 20 afford the costs of an appeal. Accordingly, the application to proceed in forma pauperis 21 on appeal is GRANTED. See 28 U.S.C. § 1915. 22 The Clerk is directed to serve a copy of this order on the Court of Appeals for the 23 Ninth Circuit. 24 GOOD CAUSE APPEARING, it is so ordered. 25 26 November 3, 2011 /S/ Michael J.
