2009 California Corporations Code - Section 9340 :: Article 4. Termination Of Memberships

CORPORATIONS CODE
SECTION 9340

9340.  (a) A member may resign from membership at any time.
   (b) This section shall not relieve the resigning member from any
obligation for charges incurred, services or benefits actually
rendered, dues, assessments or fees, or arising from contract or
otherwise, and this section shall not diminish any right of the
corporation to enforce any such obligation or obtain damages for its
breach.
   (c) Except as provided in subdivision (b) of Section 9320 or in
subdivision (a) of this section, a membership issued for a period of
time shall expire when such period of time has elapsed unless the
membership is renewed.
   (d) A membership may be terminated as provided in the articles or
bylaws of the corporation.
